The Process

A loft conversion is surprising straightforward and fast with minimal disruption.
Here is the rough process of a typical conversion.

Step 1- Get a Quotation

Our head of the company James Nicholas will come personally to discuss the
loft conversion to see what design and specification suits you and your
property best. You will receive a quote with in a few days

Step 2 – Drawings and planning

We have worked with the same architects and structural engineers for many
years and have specific ones to cater for the individuals needs.
9 out of 10 times, planning is not necessary as most loft conversions fall
under permitted development but all paperwork including building control will
be dealt with by us.

Step 3 – Scaffolding

A few days before work commences, the scaffolding will be erected. Our
specially hired mobile crane will then lift all materials up so to keep minimal
disruption to your driveway

Step 4 – Structure formed

The structure typically takes between 3 and 5 days to complete. This is all
done from outside so no access is needed to your property until necessary

Step 5 – Stair day

4 to 8 days into the conversion the stairs will be installed to allow you access
to your loft so we can position internal walls, and services exactly were you
want them.

Step 6 – Services, Plastering and Second fix

In the next 2 weeks your loft will transfer into a recognizable living space with
electrics, plastering and second fix carpentry all have taken place with just the
bathroom left to tile and install in the final 2 weeks

Step 7 – Completion

Once all work has taken place we will remove any materials, skips and
scaffolding and final payment will not be taken until building control has
approved the works and you are completely happy with the loft
